We are going to know about the peachtree, that how its work.
So firstly open the peachtree software with double click, when you open the
peachtree software such kind of window appear on screen that shown below.
Then to make your own company you have to click the option
of set up a new company. When you select that option a new window appear on
screen that shown below.
In above window there is six bullets point that tells us
what information we should have to proceed with the new company setup and at the
bottom of that window you are seeing that three option highlighted which are
“Next” “Cancel” “Help” then to continue for operating
PEACHTREE software you have to select the Next button after pressing the next
button a new window will appear which is shown in below.
In this window there is an information that is for your new
company. Making a new company you have to minimum fill the company name block.
After filling that block then press the next button which is at the bottom of
that window. When you press the next button a new window will appear that is
shown below.
This window informs you that peachtree provides several
methods for setting up your company. We want to built our own company so we
select the last one option that is build your own company than press next
button. By pressing the next button we will se next window that is shown below.
As we know there are two method of accounting
1: Accrual
2: cash
According to “Accrual
Method” income is recorded as you invoice customer, and expenses are
recorded when you receive bill from vendors, regardless of when cash is
actually exchanged. Most companies use this method.
According to “Cash
Method” income is recorded when cash is received, and expenses are recorded
when paid. Unpaid credit sales and purchases do not show on the general ledger.
We select the Accrual Method that most companies used. By
clicking on next button a new window will appear that shown below.
A new window tell us there are two method of posting
1: Real Time
2: Batch
According to Real Time transaction are posted to
general ledger as they entered and saved. Most companies use this method.
According to Batch transaction
are saved by the program and then posted in a group. This method allows you to
print registers and analyze a group of transaction before posting the journals.
We are going to select the real time because most companies use this method. By
pressing the next button a new window will appear that shown in below.
Then select the 12 month accounting period then select the NEXT following window will appear that
shown below.
In this window we enter the fiscal year in which we start a
company and also enter the month in which we start to enter the data after this
information we select the NEXT
button the following window will appear show below.
After all the information that you filled above then press
the FINISH button to complete the
wizard.
